Mariah Carey Gives Birth To Twins On Anniversary

Lane Moore  — Mariah Carey Gives Birth To Twins On Anniversary, A representative for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon confirmed that the singer gave birth to twins today (April 30, 2011) at 12:07 EDT at an unnamed hospital in Los Angeles:

The singer's daughter was born first, weighing 5lb 3oz, followed closely by a boy, weighing 5lb 6oz.

"My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!" Cannon tweeted earlier today. "I won't ever be able to top this!"

In an interview that took place earlier this week, Cannon told Entertainment Talks that his wife could go into labor "at any minute".

But perhaps the best thing about the news is this:

The statement also revealed that the pair listened to Carey's 2005 single 'We Belong Together' shortly after the births.

According to reports, the couple has yet to name the twins, and are expected to renew their wedding vows tomorrow, as they have been married for three years today.

Tony One week moved from Musician/Acting to Politician

A popular musician and actor, Tony Muonagor, popularly known as Tony One Week, has won the House of Assembly election for Idemili North constituency in Anambra State.
Muonagor, who contested on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria, was the only candidate of the party declared winner in the election which held on Tuesday.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance won 13 of the 24 seats released by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Peoples Democratic Party came second with eight seats, while ACN, the Accord Party and the Labour Party won one seat each.
Results from six other constituencies were declared inconclusive. They were results from Idemili South, Aguata I, Onitsha South I, Awka South I, Nnewi South II and Ogbaru II.

No date has been announced for the rerun in areas where elections were inconclusive.
Meanwhile, the ACN House of Assembly candidate for Awka South II, Mr. Kenechukwu Chukwuemeka, has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare the result of the constituency.

Chukwuemeka said that since the suspension of the announcement of the result was predicated on a petition written by the candidate of the Congress for Democratic Change, it was imperative that the result be declared now that the CDC candidate had withdrawn her petition.
